After filing a complaint against the makers of the Malayalam film Oru Adaar Love, the makers removed the song from YouTube. The complaint has been filed in Hyderabad alleging that the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the film has derogatory lyrics that hurt the sentiments of Muslims. It was filed by a group of Muslim youth from Falaknuma who alleged that the lyrics are blasphemous as there is a mention of Prophet Muhammed in the song.
The song ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ from movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ became viral in social medias soon after the release. The leading actress Priya Prakash Varrier became very much popular and her Instagram account crossed over 2.5 Million followers with in 2 days. The song national level recognition and also fall in to controversies. The police charged case against director Omar Lulu for hurting the religious sentiments and now he removed the song from YouTube and reports says that he also decided to remove it from the movie also.
Omar Lulu has previously directed the Hit films Happy Wedding and Chunkzz. This one was his third directorial venture and based on the life story of Plus Two school students. Movie has five heroes and four girls as the main characters. The film is about their lives, love and friendship. Teaser trailer for the film is released on 13th Feb prior to the Valentines day celebrations and also expected to release very soon.
